Dies from self inflicted gunshot wound
A saxophonist that performed with the rock band The Killers committed
suicide earlier this week at his home in Las Vegas. On Thursday a
spokeswoman for the Clark County Coroner confirmed that Thomas “Tommy”
Marth died of a self inflicted gunshot wound to his head. The 33 year
old is survived by his siblings and parents.
Light missing in Las Vegas
In a statement posted on Twitter the band officially paid tribute to
their former colleague saying that ‘Last night we lost our friend Thomas
Marth.
‘Our prayers are with his family. There’s a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy.’
Close friend feels the shock
It has become a worrying trend as more and more young celebrities
have started to pass away at a very young age. The shock of such a
sudden death has left many trying to make sense of what is going on
including Tommy’s close friend Ryan Pardey. Pardey while talking to the
Las Vegas Sun said that ‘I’m just trying to make sense of things right
now and help some people who aren’t doing very well.
‘He was one of the most talented people in our community and one of my closest friends since we were 18.’
